Genre: Western Horror
Review: Kindle Unlimited
Sadie Grace is wanted for witchcraft, dead (or alive). And every hired gun in Kansas is out to collect the bounty on her head, including bonafide witch hunter Old Tom and his mysterious, mute ward Rabbit.
On the road to Burden County, they’re joined by two vagabond cowboys with a strong sense of adventure – but no sense of purpose – and a recently widowed schoolteacher with nothing left to lose. And as their posse grows, so too does the danger.
Racing along the drought-stricken plains in a stolen red stagecoach, they encounter monsters more wicked than witches lurking along the dusty trail. But the crew is determined to get that witch, or die trying.

First, let me start off with the second book. I grabbed that one because of the cover, and of course, I didn't know that until I went to check out. Doing a whole search trying to find the first book, and of course, Libby has a four-week wait! Thank goodness for KU because I was able to get it there.
Now, looking at the cover, the red one did not catch my eye; it was the second one. Yes, I know you should never judge a book by its cover, but man, sometimes a cover really does look appealing to ya and catches ya eye.
After all that jabbering, let's move on to the review.
For me, this was something different, new, and refreshing. It was way different than my normal reads. Witches, magic, shapeshifters, ghosts, the Old West, and so much more. It all makes you think, how is that all going to go together without sounding boring? Jump on in, baby, because you will be in for a ride. How do all these so-called misfits come together, and what becomes of them as they make their way to where Sadie lives? The way this all came together was just magic. I did love how Joe was willing to travel to make sure Rose was safe. I don't want to say anything else as to not give anything away.
It pulls you in, and you can't help but want to turn those pages well after bedtime. You become invested in the misfit characters who are all brought together by something, and in the end, you are left with a surprise that you may put together. I know I didn't.
