The fog conceals a killer

who’s hunting them both

The disappearance of five people in Angel Marchant’s marshland town has left everyone terrified they’ll be next. And when a voodoo doll with a knife through its heart is left hanging on her front door, Angel turns to the only person she can trust. Ever since she rescued him from the swamp, injured New Orleans photographer Nathan Merrick has been falling hard for Angel. But now the beautiful fisherwoman is the target of a predator whose vendetta of violence will end only when Angel belongs to him forever…

From Harlequin Seek thrills. Solve crimes. Justice served.
It was not my favorite story. I was expecting a lot more crime, murder, and death, yet this seemed to focus more on how our main character lives out in the swamp and falls in love.
I felt the writing was mediocre, and I only finished it because I wanted to see who was behind the murders. I still don't know who was behind the murders. I assume it was the person who left the voodoo doll, but I don't know. I wish I could say I loved this story as I do like anything that deals with the swamp and murders. This book just completely fell flat. The writing fell flat.
