A love that couldn't be broken, except by the truth.
Lizzie Young has always felt she was too much everything. Diagnosed with bipolar disorder at a young age, she's never fit in with her family, her friends, her community. Lizzie wants to be accepted and understood, but with few family or friends in her corner, she's carries her burdens and her trauma on her own.
But when she meets a kind boy on the school bus, things start to look bright for the first time in her life…
Hugh Biggs has an old soul and the wisdom of someone far beyond his years. A young man with a sharp mind and a firm code of ethics, he sees something in Lizzie Young that he can't resist. He wants to be her everything and shoulder her burden. And Lizzie wants that too.
Lizzie and Hugh's bond seems unbreakable — their chemistry is electric, their love is potent, and their connection is soul deep – but even the truest love can be shaken by forces beyond control.
Warning: Releasing 10 tackles several sensitive topics, including childhood abuse, sexual trauma, CSA, grooming, abortion, forced miscarriage, self-harm, and suicide. It includes explicit sexual content and graphic violence and is not suitable for readers under the age of 18. Reader discretion is advised.

Trigger Warnings!!!! There are many things in here that may trigger you, so reader beware.
This is one of these stories I have been waiting to have written so I can read! In all the other books in the Tommen series, we see just how mean Lizzie is, and hey, I get it. Though sadly, I truly didn't get it until this story. We now get a full understanding as to why Lizzie has become the way she is. Lizzie was crying out for help, and it was heartbreaking to read it. Someone said this was like porn in another review. I didn't get that feeling; I got more of a child who grew up with trauma, and it caused her to have a mental illness. Hugh, what a gentleman, I mean, no matter how much Lizzie, as she was growing up, tried to get him to have sex with her because she felt she needed it. He didn't give in. You can tell he loves Lizzie so much, and to see him put her first every time is both sweet and heartbreaking, because you want him to actually be happy, and we don't see that happening anytime soon. There were so many times I wanted, no, take that back, I needed Lizzie to tell Hugh what was going on. He needed to know. I think if she were able to talk about it, then just maybe she could finally get the help she needed and wouldn't need to have all those pills. I think the author did a great job with going back and forth with the different POV's of Lizzie and Hugh, and the timeline was great. Do I think this was a very long book, totally? I didn't quite realize it was over 700 pages as I read it on my Kindle, but I do feel it was a bit longer than I had anticipated.
Chole did amazing with how she brought these characters to life, and it makes you think twice about how someone is acting because you never know what they are truly going through. This is why Hugh is an awesome character; he saw Lizzie, he saw she needed help, and he was willing to do whatever it was to help her in the best way he could. Even though he was a child himself at the time.
