One spring morning, a bus full of children and their teachers from a Cotswolds primary school head off on a much-anticipated day trip. But as night falls and the well-heeled parents – one or two of them famous, as well as wealthy – wait at the school to collect their weary offspring, it soon becomes clear that something has gone very wrong. The children and their teachers simply do not come back. What’s happened doesn’t seem possible. How can an entire class of children simply vanish?
I have to say I like this cover rather than the blue cover that I have seen floating around. I feel this one with the school bus really makes you want to read the book. I can't imagine the feeling of a parent who has children and what they feel when their child goes missing.
Just a normal day at school. The students get to go on a field trip and what could be more fun than that? As our story gets moving we learn that 10 children and 4 adults go missing. Where in the heck did they go and how does a bus go missing as well? We learn that secrets are never meant to be kept if more than one person knows about them. There are a lot of different POVs and you just need to make sure you are following along so you don't miss anything. I liked not knowing who was behind it until closer to the end as then you start wondering where I missed the clue that could have given it all away?
I did find the way that police handled things seemed a bit weird and not at all like I would have imagined, but if you can overlook that and just enjoy the story then it was a good story to tell.
