When journalist Catherine Cobb arrives in the East Texas town of Elena, she quickly finds herself fighting for her life. Something is spreading through the population, turning ordinary civilians into murderers capable of committing the most heinous crimes.
As the body count continues to rise, Catherine walks into one nightmare after another, uncovering a secret plot involving a group of neo-Nazis, top-level federal government, and the strange world of the occult--with global implications.
Before long, Catherine finds herself trapped in a terrifying world that she doesn't understand. And might not escape from.

I received this book to give an honest review.

When I read the blurb I wasn't sure where this book was headed well it went down a path I wasn't expecting. Dark magic, death, murder, and cult-like activity yep that just screams trouble all the way down the road. My kind of book!
Not only do we have voodoo but throw in some crazy Nazi folks and you know it is not going to be pretty. Catherine is a freelancer and what she uncovers is something that will have her fighting for her life. Elena is not a nice place once evil has infiltrated it and it has something to do with our government and someone who knows how the power of voodoo works. This book was full of action and it just kept going at a steady pace which I was amazed at. Now some scenes are a bit graphic so they will not be for the faint of heart, this author has a unique writing style and I will be looking for more.
