Adam Stone wants freedom and peace. He wants a chance to escape Blackwater, the dust-bowl desert town he grew up in. Most of all, he wants the beautiful Sadie Blood.

Alongside Sadie and the dangerous outsider, Kane, Adam will ride the Blackwater Trail in a brutal race that will test them all, body and soul.

The prize? A one-way ticket to Sky-Base and unimaginable luxury.
And for a chance at this new life, Adam will risk everything . . .

Man I really liked the plot of this book. Motorcycle racing just to get a ticket to live in the sky? Hmm sounds like it has to be a least a bit intriguing right? Well it was for me.
We follow Adam Stone as he is going to race and hopefully win it so he can live in the sky with the Sky people. Though that would mean leaving Frank his brother behind. Can he even do that?
The only thing that cripples Adam is this compassion for his fellow men and this can either help him or hurt him.
While getting ready to race in this crazy race called Blackwater Trail he meets someone named Kane who is very mysterious. Everything doesn't come together until towards the end and then it is like oh wow this is going to make a great series. I loved how Kane was mysterious but it was all for a reason.
Now Adam he is a very good and well developed character who doesn't have a mean bone in his body. Though we see what happens when he is pushed beyond his limits.
I thought another neat thing in the story was how the use of slingshots was use, and they are very deadly.
There is so much I want to say about this book but I feel like I would give so much away.
Just the way this book came about I will find myself getting the next book.
If you like action and adventure pick it up.
