Then comes marriage.
Then comes revenge.
In this sensational short story from the bestselling author of The Kept Woman and Pretty Girls, fifty-two-year-old Pam has done her utmost as a loyal wife to her now ex-husband John. He dropped her cruelly . . . but with a terminal illness about to claim his life, Pam now sees an opportunity to settle the score, in a way that no one—not their children, not her ex, and certainly not the reader—will see coming . . .
Surprising, suspenseful, and diabolically clever, Cold, Cold Heart offers old fans and new readers alike a taste of the writer Gillian Flynn calls “one of the finest crime novelists at work today.”
I received this book to give an honest review.
For a short story it had me wondering why a person would have a cold, cold heart. We are introduced to Pam who has done everything for her husband. Though it seems like it didn't bother him to move on in life. John wrote a book and in it you know he portrayed Pam as someone who didn't care among other things so when revenge has a way of coming back you jump on that train and that is what Pam did.
John wants Pam to visit him as he has a terminal illness but what really is his intentions? When Pam took something from his house I kept wondering what the heck did she take? Read on a few more pages and I laughed so hard because I wasn't thinking that is what it was. Good way to get revenge!
