Who controls the horde?

A desperate plea for help takes Alex and Micah out into the eater-ravaged countryside, where hordes are everywhere and those not in hiding are dead.

Hounded by eaters and waylaid by the angry, the desperate, and the terrified, their difficult journey ultimately leads them into a confrontation with the man responsible for the outbreak.

A man who may hold the key to controlling the eater hordes.

I received this book to give an honest review.
Wow is all I can say I have been itching to get back to reading about the characters Alex and Micah. If you have read book one you know how them two met and pretty much have become best friends. Their humor is like no other I think I found myself laughing more in this book than in the first one.
In Downfall we get some answers as to how this all started it seems someone didn't think it would get that bad when the virus was let loose.
Alex and Micah go on a journey to not only find a cure but to stop the company behind it all and do a rescue attempt on their friends. Along the way they meet new people and it shows that not all folks are bad and are accepting of "white-eyes."
It seems that Alex and Micah well discover heart ache in this book though I wasn't expecting it but hey in a zombie world death seems to be all around. If you haven't read book one I suggest you do as this one leaves right off where book one ended.
There is plenty of action, life saving, humor and of course some sadness all in this book and after the ending I can NOT wait for a book three. I am excited to see what else is in store for the eating killing duo Alex and Micah.
