Deceiving Destiny: Nadege Richards

Deceiving Destiny (The Bleeding Heart Trilogy, #2)

When your destiny lies in the hands of your enemy, there’s only one thing you won’t do to save the ones you love...

Now free from the walls that confine New Haven, the place she had once believed to be her home, Echo must find a way to put an end to a war only she has the power to stop. She has yet to discover her true abilities as a hybrid leader, but what happens when the dreams that plague her become something more? Someone more? In the midst of exploring her love for Ayden and venturing through forbidden lands for a key that will explain everything, Echo finds Kahl—the boy that haunts her in her sleep, yet has the hidden answers she seeks. And Echo will do just about anything to get them.

In the second installment of The Bleeding Heart Trilogy, relationships are put to the test, dreams become desires, and ultimately one girl will discover her purpose in a promised legend written in stone.

I received this book to give an honest review.
Deceiving Destiny picks up right where book one Burning Bridges leaves off. Only this time you get a lot of action. I enjoyed reading the P.O.V.'s point of view of Ayden and Echo. Though I did wonder about the poem that was put into the story as I did not really see what that had to do with anything.
One of the main characters Echo you can see has grown up a whole lot. She has learned that she not only has to take care of herself but others. And she has become so kind and worries about everyone else and puts them before herself. She has really grown in this story.
Her love for Ayden has grown intensely and you can tell that they both love each other very much in spite of everything going on around them.
Echo learns a lot about her past and who she truly is.
There are surprises, and twist and turns that you will not see coming. There are also new characters who will be introduced. Which is nice as we all love to have new characters come into play.
The love that Echo and Ayden has will be put to the test, but will it survive? Along the way what will Echo learn about herself and her past will it make her stronger or weaker? Well you just have to read to find out.
Make sure you read book one Burning Bridges and then this one so you are not lost on the characters or the plot of the story.
I totally recommend this book from YA on up as this is a darn good series.
