I received this book from the author to give an honest review.
This was a great short story, and is the prequel to Scarlet Night. It is action packed and will leave you wanting more. I did have to go back and re-read a page or two to understand what happened. This story will leave you wanting more and to find out what happens next. This is a great introduction into the life of Serena. The Lover takes you on the journey of the two characters Serena and Devon and the year they have together. A great, and quick read. I am going to say this is recommended for 18+
