Winter Santiaga hit time served. Still stunning, still pretty, still bold, still loves her father more than any man in the world, still got her hustle and high fashion flow. She’s eager to pay back her enemies, rebuild her father’s empire, reset his crown, and ultimately to snatch Midnight back into her life no matter which bitch had him while she was locked up. But Winter is not the only one with revenge on her mind. Simone, Winter’s young business partner and friend, is locked and loaded and Winter is her target. Will she blow Winter’s head off? Can Winter dodge the bullets? Or will at least one bullet blast Winter into another world? Either way Winter is fearless. Hell is the same as any hood and certainly the Brooklyn hood she grew up in. That’s what Winter thinks.
What in the hell did I just read? This book, I will say, this took me way too long to read. Whereas The Coldest Winter Ever took me about 4 days. I was really excited to read book two as I had just finished the books about Porsche and the Coldest Winter. I was highly disappointed in this book, and I am not sure where in the heck this author was going. I mean, I do sorta see it as Winter's past is going to catch up to her, and as it does, she will have to answer to the ONE. Yet, it seems even when given the chance, she always chooses evil and evil things, and all this will come back to bite her in the a$$ literally. There was so much wrong with this book, and I am wondering what publisher said, "Hey, this is an amazing book, let's publish it. Doesn't matter if we have some bestiality going on in here; everyone is going to want to read it. I also got a feeling that the author was pushing religion in this one, as it never really played a part in the other books.
I will also say the whole scene with the dog finger f^ck!ng was horrible. Like, I really could not get over that. I think that is something that will always stay in my mind. $h!t I don't think bleach could get that memory outta my head.
I felt at one point, as we were dealing with hell, she wanted to bring some magical realm into it as we got a succubus into the mix of characters, though we never got any true demons.
I never intentionally try to bash an author because they put a lot of hard work, sweat, and tears into the story that they want to tell. Their characters speak to them. But beybah this story should never have come to light. I am sorry to say this.
Just go ahead and unpublish this because this was not your greatest work.
