Scars exist to remind us of what we've survived.

Since Shelbi enrolled at Windward Academy as a senior and won't be there very long, she hasn't bothered making friends. What her classmates don't know about her can't be used to hurt her--you know, like it did at her last school.

Andy Criddle is not okay. At all.
He's had far too much to drink.
Again. Which is bad.
And things are about to get worse.

When Shelbi sees Andy at his lowest, she can relate. So she doesn't resist reaching out. And there's no doubt their connection has them both seeing stars . . . but the closer they get, the more the past threatens to pull their universes apart.

#1 New York Times bestselling author Nic Stone delivers a tour de force about living with grief, prioritizing mental health, and finding love amid the chaos.

“I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”
Can I love this author any more than I already do? Her opening letter was profound, and I hope that everyone who reads the book read it first before just diving into the storyline. She did a great job bringing mental illness to light and how it affects the person and those around them. This book felt raw, loved, and everything you could possibly feel. Will my students love it? I hope so because this is one book I am buying for my shelves for them to read. Shelbi, our main character is going through so much at a young age and we see just how she learns ways to cope and manage daily.
Enter Andy, who is dealing with a lot himself, and you can see how much he struggles daily as well.
When these two come together it is powerful. We see how they both uplift each other up, are there for the good and the bad, and see just how much they are perfect for each other, even though Andy should not fall in love with her.
I just can't rave enough about this book! Just stop and read it. I am almost certain you will not be disappointed.
