Review: Limerence II (Limerence #2) by Claire C. Riley

When you see life through the eyes of a vampire, you see the true colours of the world.
It’s been almost a year since Mia’s life was forever altered, and each day is a battle as she fights the dark vampire trapped within her. She is strong, and powerful, and she wants control. She will do anything to be free. Even if it means destroying them both.
Evan, a strong Bastion vampire is fighting a darkness of his own. And though their Queen won’t allow it, Mia’s connection with him is intense & addictive. They find it impossible to stay apart. But as their emotions grow stronger, Mia fears Evan’s secrets will destroy the very strength she needs to keep her inner vampire under control.

Is she strong enough to survive a love which is not allowed, while fighting the monster within?
The Queen is sick and the world Mia has only just come to know is changing. In the end, there can only be one survivor.

I received an ARC to give an honest review.
When I started reading this book I was a bit confused as to what was going on exactly. I had read book one but for some reason I could truly remember what had caused all this with Mia and Evan. So I literally pulled up book one and started reading the last two chapters of the book and that was when it clicked for me. It literally had been a little over a year since I read book one and I have read plenty of other books in that time period.

So where Limerence 2 starts is where Mia is training with Evan and she is having to pretty much pay her loyalty to the Queen for saving her.
Now Evan is only suppose to be training Mia and teaching her to have self control and to fight for the Queen against the enemy from book one. Especially while she has another part of her a creature that is fighting and begging to be free.
But of course we all know that when two hot vampires are training and getting close what is going to happen? Yep you guessed it, they just have that attraction to each other and Evan knows he is not suppose to be with Mia EVER! Queen's orders. But who ever truly listens in a story.
When they both happen to disobey the orders, well lets just say things start to go down hill from there.
We end up meeting this creature that wants to reek havoc on humans and wants the previous Queen dead. But the question is, can Mia be saved, and will the poison run through her body forever changing her?
You can tell there is a lot of sexual frustrations between Mia and Evan and it just breaks your heart to see them want to be together but being lovers is forbidden.  Now there is a Common room that Mia is not suppose to go to, but you know this rule breaker is just going to do it. And we get a look into it. It is a very sexual and hot place for a vampire to be in.
There are some hot moments, some killing moments and some oh what the heck is Evan going to do now?
I do wonder if there will be a book three in the works as I do enjoy this author's style of writing and how she can capture you into the world of hot vampires.
