But only if he can break her.

They are scattered.
They are devastated.
They are ruined.

And will it even matter if Marcus has already betrayed her?

I received this ARC to give an honest review.
Where book 2 ended book three Ghost Heart picked up. There is a lot of action that is taking place. After the tragedy that hit them up in the caves. Olivia finds herself captured by Dr. Fineman who if you read book one will remember him as the one that held Passion captive.
If you had questions in book two then they will be answered in this story. There were plenty of twist and turns and now I am wondering who is working for who.
Now while Olivia is being held captive she treated pretty badly and my heart went out to her. But she held strong. While she is in her cell someone reaches out to her, and this character is a mystery. One that we hear about but don't know much about. I see this character playing a huge part in book four, because the ending has you wondering what else is going to happen in the PSS world.
We normally read Olivia's POV in the stories along with some other characters. But in Ghost Heart we get more of Passion's POV and she is character that we see grow, which I think is excellent.
With Ghost Heart you will be left wondering who is good, who is bad, and why all the secrets?
It seemed the so called "bad" guys wanted to help out Marcus, Olivia, Jason and Passion, but underneath it all what is really going on?
If you want a new series to read one that you will want to know about about the PSS world and the characters you have got to get your hands on Ripley Patton's series. It is one that I recommend to those that like the paranormal.

Earlier books in the series:

By Ripley Patton

Genre: Paranormal Thriller
Age category: Young Adult

Blurb:
Seventeen-year-old Olivia Black has a rare birth defect known as Psyche Sans Soma, or PSS. Instead of a right hand made of flesh and blood, she was born with a hand made of ethereal energy.

How does Olivia handle being the girl with the ghost hand? Well, she's a little bit morbid and a whole lot snarky.

Her mother thinks her obsession with death, black clothing, and the local cemetery is a bid for attention. But when Marcus, the new guy in Olivia's calculus class, stares at her like she's a freak, Olivia doesn't like it. And when her hand goes rogue, doing things she never imagined possible, Olivia finds herself running for her life with Marcus from a group of men bent on taking the power of her hand for their own nefarious purposes.

By Ripley Patton

Genre: Paranormal Thriller
Age category: Young Adult

Blurb:
Olivia Black is back.

Only this time she's not the one in need of rescue.

Samantha James, rich, popular, and an award-winning composer at age seventeen, is the next target on the CAMFers' list. In order to convince Samantha to come with them, Olivia and Passion must pose as cousins, blend into the most affluent high school in Indianapolis, and infiltrate a mysterious cult known as The Hold.

Olivia doesn't expect it to be easy, even with the PSS guys backing them up. But what she discovers over the course of the mission will call into question everything she ever believed about herself, her family, and especially about Marcus, the guy she is undoubtedly falling in love with.

I received this book to give an honest review.
Now I want to say it has been a year since I have read the first book Ghost Hand and this is a story that just stays with you because it was unique. So when I was asked to read and review as part of a blog tour which my date is for October 20th I had to jump on the band wagon. I hoped that when I read Ghost Hold it was full of action and I wanted to know what is going to happen between Marcus and Olivia.
Let me say I was not disappointed at all!!!
We leave off right where book one ends. Olivia, Marcus, Nose, Jason and Yale along with Passion you know the girl they rescued are all on the run still and tying to find those that have PSS that the CAMFers are trying to get. Marcus has a plan to rescue Samantha but there is more to this than just a simple rescue! Oh yeah totally wasn't ready for what was going to happen. Now Olivia and Marcus are an item but with this mission you really see how their relationship holds up.
There are those within the group that seems to be holding secrets and Olivia is not down for that at all.
The characters are still strong, and you can't help but like them PSS and all! You get to know all the characters a bit more especially Passion. She has more going on to her than just the cutting!!!

This mission to retrieve Samantha is a whole lot more than just a in out job. Secrets come out and lets just say Olivia is the one that the center of it all. I have to say it is always hard for a sequel to hold up to the first book. But Ghost Hold did a great job of holding up on its own. You have suspense, action, a great story plot all rolled into one. Now the ending is not all wrapped up so I know I need to get ready to read book three Ghost Heart to see what is Olivia going to uncover!!! There seems to be more than meets the eye within this book.
