The Dark Dawn Tour Review and giveaway

In the beginning God made the heavens and the earth, and everything in between. The In-between was unplanned, unexpected, and unwelcome. Every action causes a reaction and when mankind was born, so were the Fae. Suddenly it was up to Heaven to save Earth. God created Angels to right his wrong, to save human kind. A deal was made, an agreement of sorts. The Angels would protect humanity from Fae domination and destruction, and in return they would have inhuman strength and immortality. Thus a time of angels swooping in to save humans from free will, bad decisions, and big mistakes began. They protected humans from the Fae who intentionally enslaved them, leaving shells of humans, or worse, leaving nothing at all.

Even God doesn’t always learn from mistakes. Angels were given freedom of choice. Some Angels chose wrong. When some of them spread their wings, they went too far, and just as Icharus was punished for getting too close to the sun, they were punished for getting too close to mankind.

So they fell. Falling was the easy part.

My Review:
I received this book to give an honest review.

I really like the outline of the story. And I am glad there is another book coming out soon. You have your Guardian Angels fighting against the Fae for the good of mankind.

Even though the outline of the story was really good I felt that it lacked on some parts, and of course I had some questions that did not get answered. Along with part of the ending. I felt a bit confused.

The story starts off with how God made his first Angel, then he made more to fight for the humans against the Fae. Then you move on up to the year 1990. From here you learn that the Angels have been battling a battle with Fae for centuries and it has been nonstop. You also learn that each of the Guardian Angels have a special power that God bestowed upon the. You get told what they are but you really do not get to see it in action all but Seth's. He has the power of being empathy and of course he uses his power all the time. Along with the way a special box finds its way to Aislinn who has a special ability I would say. And of course this brings her into the eyes of Seth and of course Gan.

There is a steamy sex scene between Aislinn and Seth. Which of course the way that Seth feels for her is of course forbidden, and he knows this but he doesn't care. He wants to be able to love this human no matter what.

Now the part that confused me and I wondered why we didn't get a time frame before this was revealed. Such as 1 week before. Anna who is one of the Guardian Angels has something happen to her, and when Aislinn gets taken to Annwynn. You find out a few pages later what happened to cause this and what not. It really kind of through me off.

I would have also like to see more of the characters develop a whole lot more. I think they all could have had their own parts and I know this was a novella so it is not meant to be long. But I really could not "connect" with these characters.

Also I didn't feel as though there was enough description on what the Fae consumed from humans.
I would have liked more talk about the other Angels and their powers, I would have liked for them to have use their powers more. Or at least more battle scenes. If you are battling evil you have to have great battle scenes unless in book two the action will be kick ass.

If you do like reading about good vs. evil, angels and fae, a love that is forbidden then give it a read you may like it. I for one can not wait to read book two and hope that is it better than the first.
