Deathly Contagious: Book Two in the Contagium Trilogy
After the discovery of a zombie-proof safe house, things are finally looking up for Orissa Penwell. But her chance at happiness is shattered when someone she cares about is shot. Hell bent on revenge, Orissa will do whatever it takes to seek vengeance and get even.
Things quickly go from bad to worse and she finds herself lost and abandoned—and forced to face the zombie plagued world on her own. When lies, secrets, and desperation are added to the already harrowing world, Orissa discovers that zombies aren’t the only things to worry about.
What—or who—will justice cost her? And just how far will Orissa go to avenge someone she loves?
*The Contagium Series is now published through Permuted Press and will be re-released spring 2014*

I received this book to give an honest review.
So when book one left off with a cliff hanger I needed to read book two to see who is going to survive. I am so glad I got to read book two, I literally was itching to see what was going to happen now. I think with this one we see Orissa grow a whole lot more as a solider pretty much. Yes she does whatever it is to survive and save others but she can handle herself which is amazing.
We finally get to see what love can be like between Orissa and Hayden even while fighting zombies we knew it had to happen but when exactly was it going to.
Orissa finds herself in a horrible situation along with another girl and Orissa will stop at nothing to save them both. Orissa is a fighter through and through and props goes to her grandfather for teaching her all kinds of skills.
Of course we deal with a lot of fighting which is awesome so it isn't just mediocre it is literally action through out the book. The group will lose people and gain people and it is heartbreaking for all.
There seems to be a bit of mystery surrounding why they are not to go to a certain place though this is not elaborated on I wonder about it and wonder if we will get an answer to why.
There is a major cliffhanger again with this book and I find myself jumping into book three to find out what is going to happen now to Orissa and her crew of family.
This is an amazing zombie series to read and if you haven't read book one you really need to.
