The Last Battleship by Joseph J. Christiano

The Last Battleship        Published March 20, 2012 by Wild Child Publishing

Synopsis:
In 1944, the battleship USS Louisiana is torpedoed and sunk by a Japanese submarine. There is a single survivor. Four decades later, an expedition embarks to locate and document the wreck. The Louisiana's sole survivor, Ensign Robert Sayles (retired), along with his daughter, Jill, are honored guests of the expedition.

But things begin to go wrong aboard the research vessel Hailey Rose. Several crewmen are found murdered, and the ship's radio and engines are sabotaged. The pain from wounds Robert Sayles received in his escape from the sinking battleship return to haunt him. With a fierce South Pacific storm bearing down on them, the Hailey Rose's survivors must find a way to repair their vessel and contend with a murderer in their midst. A murderer with direct ties to the night the last battleship was sunk.

Is it Robert? Or is it... something else? And will they survive...The Last Battleship?

My review:

I received this book from the author to give an honest review.

The Last Battleship will have you having goosebumps. It is a chilling story that in way will remind you of the movie Ghost Ship.
I would say this book is considered suspenseful horror, there is bloodshed in the book but not anything gruesome. There is suspense and a mystery all wrapped into this book.

Joseph did a wonderful job in writing this book, with the characters, story line. The way he wrote different parts such as what happened in around the 1940's to present day it all combined really well and did not have you going back asking what is going on. That is great, because for me I do not like to have to go back and re-read parts.

If you enjoy a great ghost story then I highly suggest you give The Last Battleship a read.

My Rating: 5 wine glasses
