Review: The Whispers: A Whispers Story (The Whispers #1) by Lisa Unger

Eloise Montgomery discovers her amazing gift in the wake of tragedy in this first of three captivating e-novellas from award-winning and New York Times bestselling author Lisa Unger.

It's a day like any other for Eloise Montgomery--until tragedy strikes. While she is recovering from a horrible accident that takes the lives of her husband and oldest daughter, and as she works to help her younger daughter move forward, Eloise experiences her first psychic vision. Though she struggles to understand her newfound gifts, Eloise finds a way use them to save lost women and girls--for whom her help may be the only way out...
From an author whose "gripping narrative and evocative, muscular prose" (Associated Press) have won her critical acclaim comes The Whispers: a story that delves deep into the human psyche and the mind of one unforgettable heroine.

I received this book via NetGalley to give an honest review.

After reading the blurb I had to give this book a try. Lisa Unger capture me right from the beginning.

I can't even imagine what Eloise and her daughter went through when they both lost members in their family. And the way they lost them it is something that felt real to me none of this fake stuff.
When Eloise wakes up and starts recovering from the accident out of the blue she starts seeing people. And the first person she sees she ends up helping them out. She is a psychic but she doesn't want the fame or glory.

The story went on very well, the author got to the point of what she was trying to portray to the reader. You felt Eloise's pain as she went through something tragic, kind of worried about her when she started seeing people. I loved how with Eloise being a mother she never gave up on trying to get her daughter Amanda who survived the accident with her to open up.
I can tell this is going to be a great little series, even though they are novellas. It is something you can read probably within an hour without any interruptions.
