This will be 4 separate reviews for each of the stories in this book.

I received this book to give an honest review.

Book #1 Reign of Blood. (This is my new review of the book as I have reviewed it before but that was last year so my thoughts after reading all the books together has changed.)

So this is where we meet April Tate and her family. They live in Las Vegas and have been thrown into the vampire apocalypse. April and her family have been surviving by living in the side of a mountain in a bunker that someone put there, how amazingly cool right?
But every day April and her mother and brother go out to forge for supplies just so they don't use everything that is in the bunker, I think that is a great idea and plus you get out for a bit.
It is better to be out in the day time when the feral's bunker down in the buildings as the sunlight hurts them.
April and her family go on their normal run for supplies, but when Helen (who is April's mother)  drops her off for hunting supplies who would have thought that was the last time they would see each other.
Now April is on the hunt to find her family considering the worst is that the feral's have gotten them but how could they be killed in daylight?

While on the hunt April comes across other people who are not feral's. But what exactly are they? April puts her trust in these new people but will it come to hurt her in the end or help her find what she is looking for?

I love how April is a fighter she is a strong character within the book and she is only seventeen! Within Reign of Blood you will meet new people each has a personality of their own, plenty of action and gore! This is the perfect read to a great series. This is a whole new outlook on vampires and the apocalypse.

Book #2 Disarming Reign of Blood

So we leave off where book 1 Reign of Blood left off. We have April who has meet the new group of vampires which are not fully vamps. They are more like hybrids how cool right? I guess it is better to be a hybrid rather than a feral. If you read book one than you know April's family was taken from her, she ended up getting them back but her family is broken beyond repair. Her brother Jeremy seems to be the only one that came out okay. Rye is still in love with April even though she pushes him away. At times I found myself wanting to whack April and let her know it is okay to be with Rye he cares for you so much, but then again I understood April as she was a loner and isn't good being around a lot of people. Not only that the unthinkable happens to April and her family worse than in book one and you can see how April becomes broken.
In book one one of the groups that took April's family was demolished. April and her friends from Blaze's group made sure of that. But now they have uncovered a new group who have been hiding underground but just recently have been coming up the surface to kill feral's. Sounds kind of shady I totally know. But what exactly is underground? Of course you know Miss Independent April Tate is going to go and find out. She meets another new character Elijah who seems to like April as she is different than what he is use to. But he chases her away of course. Elijah is one that lives underground with the group that April is trying to find.
While trying to dodge Rye so he doesn't know what she is up to, April ends up in the clutches of evil. Can't this girl get a dang break! But once she is in their grasps she ends up with the one person she never thought she would. This person was in book one I know huge reveal. Not only that the unthinkable happens between April and this person. It even gets better, the people that are underground their leader is something else entirely. Alexia has done a damn good job with descriptions that just make you shudder. But the main question is, will April get herself out of trouble?

Book #3 Amplified Reign of Blood

We learn in book 2 there was a underground village where some hybrids were living along side humans. But their leader of course wasn't human. Elijah and a few other hybrids have decided to join Blaze's group being as they have become friends with April.
April is determined to find the person who drove her mother to go crazy within her mind and kill herself. So her group of friends Rye, Sarah, Elijah, Blaze and Christian all go off on this adventure. But it seems April has found herself in trouble again and this time her friends are included. They find the person responsible it is Rick but it seems there are more questions than answers that April receives. Rick knew April's mother Helen from before which was a shocker that I didn't even think of. April also learns there is a cure to this disease that could changed the world or at least Las Vegas. But while finding the cure people have been experimented on and have attracted more powers, or are completely different than before. The question to be asked is will April use the cure to help people including herself?
Once again April is torn with her feelings for Rye if you read book 2 Disarming than you know about the whole I wouldn't quite call it a love triangle but that is what it seems like. Rye loves April, April has feelings for Rye but she doesn't quite know what they are. And April and Christian are blood-bonded, but April doesn't really seem to have feelings for Christian. So yeah love triangle is the way it seems to be. April doesn't want to hurt Rye so she ventures off again on an adventure to find someone to help her with a cure and to help her with Randy who we find out within the book who Randy is actually to April. Sarah and Elijah go along with it all and all four of them seem to find themselves on the road but yet trouble seems to find them all again. What can possibly happen now you may ask? You have got to read the book to find out. The way the ending left off I wouldn't say it is a true cliff hanger but more I can see that there could be another book or two added to this series. I want to find out if there is a cure and if it will help. Or will this cure cause more problems for April and those around her?

The book is action packed and I love the characters more and more even the ones that are minor. You have got to get your hands on book one if you haven't already.

 Resonant Reign of Blood (Novella)

You wanna know how April and her family got to the bunker? How they learned to survive? Well than you will want to read Resonant. We get to read about what April and her family experienced from the first outbreak. Now it is not all gory but it does give you some insight on how April and her family were affected when this all hit. How April started helping taking care of her family. Plus you learn who Randy and Sarah are exactly to you guessed it April. I wouldn't say you have to read this book first before all of them, but you can if you want to.

The Miel Chronicles Elijah (A Reign of Blood Companion Story)

I really don't know what to say about this book. Umm it kind of threw me off a bit. As I read the entire Reign of Blood series and the prequel this story was different. We are reading about heaven a bit along with angels I assume. But I am not quite understanding what they have to do with the outbreak below on Earth in a way. Some of the characters that were in book 2 Disarming come into play within this book and we learn how they had survived. But other than that uhhh I think I could have truly done without reading this one. The writing isn't bad or anything but more along the lines of it doesn't seem to fit quite right with the other books. As angels doesn't seem to come into play within the other books. Maybe read this book before reading the Reign of Blood series and that might be better. Not sure. Now this book is short so you can finish it quickly.
