Review: The Bones Of Others by Vickie McKeehan

17303397Some monsters live in your head. Not this one.
Brutalized as a young girl by a vile sexual predator, Skye Cree is a survivor. Guided by the visions of her mystical spirit guide to the whereabouts of abducted girls, she uses her unique abilities to turn her horrifying past into a positive force for justice. Fighting the demons that have haunted her for years, she trusts only in herself—until she falls hard for a man for the first time in her life. Now, discovering her abductor is back with a vengeance, she becomes locked in a deadly race against time to stop the horrors of an evil human-trafficking ring that threatens to tear her world, and her newfound love apart.

I received this book to give an honest review.

Loved, loved, loved this book. So as soon as I started reading I knew I was into a good book. One that would not only tug at my heart strings and go omg what the hell, but at the same time I was not going to be able to put it down. I found myself getting up with my daughter in the middle of the night and getting back to reading where I left off. You start out with an abduction of a young child. Then you fast forward to the present and you meet a bad a.. chick who is on a mission to hunt and find the person who does the unthinkable. Now what though me off for a moment was the fact, we meet a wolf. I was like ummm okay so now this has gone from a thriller suspense, to a paranormal lets see how this works out. Boy was I wrong there is nothing paranormal. Yes there is a wolf, but it all deals with Skye and the Native American stories.
I don't even want to give anything way because I know I will for sure give some spoilers up.

The two main characters Skye and Josh meet up in an unusual way, and they come together to hunt the bad guys. Josh is truly the first man she has fallen for but can she get close to him after her past? Can Skye do her hunting job with Josh in the picture? What is this wolf exactly? What secrets are out there?

This story is fast paced, will keep you glued to your reading device and wanting more. After the small little surprise this author threw in this book with a side character I for sure want to read more about Skye and her missions. Will she find out the secret and what could it possibly be.
This is one book I promise you will want to read because it is that damn good.

Vickie McKeehan

Vickie writes romantic suspense. She's the author of three distinctive, very different series of books, The Evil Trilogy, the Pelican Pointe series, and the Skye Cree novels. She's just finished her ninth book, The Bones Will Tell, the second story in the Skye Cree saga.
Vickie loves to write and enjoys getting two people together where she mixes in a good mystery or suspense guaranteed to challenge the budding relationship between the two main characters.
Her female leads are usually strong-willed, independent women and definitely not the kind who sit around whimpering, waiting for someone to rescue them. Not only that, when you read one of Vickie's books, you'll get a happy ending.
In her spare time, Vickie loves the outdoors, loves to play video games, and enjoys watching football with the hubby. If you've ever read any of her books, you know she's a die-hard Raider fan, which means she has the patience of Job.

She lives for chocolate, but then who doesn't? She'll kiss for a cup of coffee in the morning. She's convinced the best food on earth is French fries. And she could easily be a vegetarian if not for bacon.
