Synopsis:

A  family secret kept hidden has been exposed, and the consequences could be deadly.

After Lilyann Moon's beloved grandmother dies shrouded by a veil of mystery, she and her young family members are yanked from their completely normal lives and catapulted directly into the supernatural world of witchcraft. A world they know absolutely nothing about.
The town of Hampstead, Maryland has no idea of the monsters that lurk in their midst. Or, of the dangers they will face if the Moon Coven doesn't figure out how to embrace the magick within each of them, especially Lily.
She's suddenly up to her little pointy black hat in magickal problems. Destiny presented her with one more, and it's a big one - vampires.
The only bright spot in this nightmare was meeting Mason. But, is she in love with the enemy? Lilyann is in a race against time to save her town and coven. Will she survive the coming dangers, with her heart and neck intact?

It all comes down to this one night...

All Hallows Eve.

My Review:

I received an ARC from the author to give an honest review.

K.B. Miller has done it again! I truly enjoyed reading her first novella in this series called Haunted even though it was short! But she blew me away in Compulsion. She had me from the first page, with witches and vampires, ghost, and magic.

Lily's family has a secret that could kill her. When something tragic happens to Lily and her family Lily takes on a big responsibility. She learns that her family is part of a very powerful coven and they are too kill vampires. She especially wants to kill Dex who wants her for his self. Almost each member in the family has a power that they have to learn how to use, and it will come in handy on Halloween night.
During this book Lily learns a lot about her family past and what it has to do with the future of her and the rest of the Moon Coven. Will she succeed at protecting her family and friends?

Lily is one of the main characters in this book, and she is very stubbon at times, but likeable, and very very protective of those around her. She takes on so much that it is a blessing she doesn't go crazy from the world being on her shoulders so to speak. I liked how she argues with herself when some one would piss her off and she wanted to forgive them, but her pride wouldn't let her. I can really relate to that because I have a tendency to do that myself.
Through out it all, you will be surprised at what her best friend Cam can do, and you will fall in love with the character Mason. For some reason when he talked in the book I always seem to give him some type of accent not sure why but I did. The way that he cares for Lily and calls her Angel was just so sweet. :D

The author will keep your attention with this action-paced, suspense, and the paranormal. You will experience the love that everyone has for one another in the Moon family, and the falling in love of two characters.

Thank you so much for allowing me to read this book! Can not wait to see what happens in book 2 of this series.

My Rating: 5 wine glasses
