Sleep Stalkers by Jackie O'Dierno

Sleep Stalkers

Synopsis:

A new plague is ravaging the country, but the infected are not so much sick as they are homicidal. Demons have begun escaping their prison and found a way into our world through the slumbering minds of humans.

Dee works alone and has ever since her father was killed. She is one of the strongest of her kind, set apart from the rest by a secret that haunts her every waking moment. Yet, her solitary existence is suddenly shattered when a dark force gathers in the streets of Cleveland.

Rather unexpectedly, Dee finds herself paired with two others of her kind, each struggling with the paths set before them. Dave, a father who has lost his child, and Luke, the one person who may be able to save her soul. Together they help her delve into the very core of evil that plagues the country and, through bloodshed and heart break, realize just far they’ll have to go to save that which they love the most.

My review:
There are no words for me to describe this book. I more amaze than I planned on being. I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars, because Sleep Stalkers deserves it. I do have to say this cover does not do the the book justice, I was to purchase this book by cover alone I would probably second guess myself.

Freaky, creepy are two words that actually come to my mind when I read this book. Sleep Stalkers had me from the go and kept me reading and wanting more from each page. I have to say the demons in this book are far more scarier than zombies would be.

Sleep Stalkers is not your average book about demons, this book is about how demons pretty much take over the humans. The world is pretty much the same, but people regular people are turning on each other. Then you have your minions who kill these demons some for revenge and some for money.
The story starts off with Luke, and him killing a demon. Then he meets Dave who feels as though he is suppose to be with Luke so them two buddy up. And they hunt demons also. Dave has a tragic story that deals with the demons, and so does Luke. Slowly they make their way to Cleveland, why they have no clue they just need to go there. When they make it to Cleveland they actually meet Dee who the other minions call her Xena because she has a way with fighting, and saving butts. Luke and Dee ended up falling in love together and have purpose on how to rid the world of the demons. The world needs hope, and love something the demons despise.

I honestly believe you will enjoy this book, especially if you like thrillers. This book had me on the edge of my seat on every page turned.
